Garage Sale Time!
OK, I have no pictures…..We got up at 6:30 to start getting ready for the garage sale that started at 9am. (SA requires a permit to have a garage sale and it states that you cannot start until 9am) Apparently, no one told the customers…..we had our first sale at 7:15. If I had gotten up by 5am, I probably could have sold everything by 8am…Hahaha! We had a steady stream of people from 7:15 til about 1pm. It was the community garage sale day, so there were signs up all week at the entrances to the subdivision, so lots of advertising means lots of people!
We did pretty good for not selling many of our big ticket items. We ended up making just over $400, got rid of a lot of junk that was taking up space and hauled the rest of it off to GoodWill right away, so it is not back in my garage! Yeah!
After the garage sale, Declan had a baseball game. We enjoyed that and then came home and Declan spent the evening running around the neighborhood with his friends. He sure loves his bike!

Less junk means less to haul around. Good for you. Happy Mother’s Day a little late.

Wow! $400 is a pretty great haul, right? I’ve never had one before, and it’s partly from the worry that I’d do all that work and then end up with twenty bucks.

We had one in KC where I promised Brittney if she helped me and not complain, I’d give her $10…… it rained ALL day and we made $5…..so it’s hit or miss sometimes. We’ve had good luck here, but we are just off a main road and we only have them when the entire neighborhood is having one…..more sales brings more people through.
