Spookery
Declan is in the cubscouts this year and is having a lot of fun! He and his dad have done a couple of camping trips so far, but the one the week after Halloween was for the whole family. So we all went to camp out, we got there just in time to set up our tent before the sun went down. So I didn’t get any pictures of us with the tent.
They had a costume contest, a spooky walk, a place where you put your hand in various containers that had stuff like eyeballs and maggots (which was done exceptionally well!).Â
We got to do some fishing.  We used corn kernals, but we didn’t catch anything. When I was a kid, we used hot dog pieces.
We did a scavengers hunt for various types of trees. And they had these skeletons that are pieces. They hid the pieces in straw in a field and let them go nuts trying to find all the pieces. It was a lot of fun.

Looks like fun to me. Just getting to camp and go fishing would be a treat.

What a fun campout for little guys! Perfect! It’s so important that those early camping experiences are fun; good foundation for future camping fun.

It was a lot of fun, but very cold for San Antonio! We could have used a heater!!
