Fiesta
Fiesta in San Antonio – lots of parades and things to do. This year we went to the Battle of the Flowers Parade.  It was fun to watch the floats and see all the people.
It’s called the Battle of Flowers because it was originally started by the women of San Antonio.
Of course, Declan had to get a sword from the vendors.
We were seated by a traffic light which made for interesting viewing with some of the ballons.
We caught Brittney off guard and she smiled for the camera – she’s been in a mood where she will only stick out her tongue.
When the girls go buy on the floats, the crowd shouts out “shoes, shoes, shoes” so they lift their dresses to show what kind of shoes they are wearing. These were cowboy boots, but others had flip flops, dress shoes and one had clown shoes!
Our neighbors in the row ahead of us were ready for the party. They wheeled in a keg in the trash barrel.Â
We stayed until the king left.

Always having good times… I’m a little burned that we didn’t get together with you guys when we were living in Texas. I repent of my uncommunicative ways!!

Deanne, I don’t think we moved down here before you moved to DC. We didn’t get here until May of 2006. But, yeah, it would be so fun to live near each other (at least close enough to bike over!) what is up with your website??? I haven’t been able to get onto it for a few days???

I’m still burned. It’s just wrong that you’re in San Antonio, just a couple hours away from where we used to live. Pooh!
Web site is UP! (you saw…)
I’m really glad to have it back!
