Shakespear and Lasagna…mmmmmm

My friend Mychel and I went to see “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” on Saturday night.  It was great fun!!  It was a three person act with a variety of methods to interpret all of Shakespeares plays in 90 minutes.

look jazz hands!

They did a bit to get to the intermission where one guy ran out side and another followed…so the last guy was left there all alone.  He said that while everyone else was gone, we could read Shakespeares prose unless someone had a joke.  Mychel piped up with this joke:  A lady walked into an italian restuarant and asked how they prepared their chicken.  The waiter replied “usually, we just tella them, they gonna die.”

I think I laughed enough for everyone there… it cracked me up (could have been the cheap wine though!) But, yes a lot of people laughed, and they laughed at the thespian because he totally didn’t expect anyone to say anything.

Very fun – but are you wearing sock on your hands? How much wine did you drink? :)

Yes, those are sock puppets. they were characters in one of the skits, but I can’t seem to remember who they represented… All I remember was that there was also a stuffed shark in that one and the theme music from Jaws.
