Guess who belongs in the Zoo?
We went to visit the zoo the other weekend to see the new Africa exibit. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
I think Declan got a little unnerved at the monkey’s for staring at him.
He did manage to find a friend.
We saw the rare and beautiful Britterfly.
Declan and I saw a Zebra that thought it was an Ardvark.
We hung out with the lions, and saw a cool Cheeta.
Then it was time to head home.

It’s a dangerous thing to welcome the Marino family… we love to roam! I just wish I had about 7 weeks of vacation instead of 2+. Of course, then I’m sure I’d want about 12 weeks… 15 weeks… (you get the idea.
I remember going to the San Antonio zoo! The one we went to a few times was the Waco zoo, because it was closer. Was it crazy-hot? It was 95 here, and we thought we were gonna die!

I know what you mean about vacation time. Working in public accounting starts with three weeks of personal time (vacation and sick leave) but I can earn up to three additional weeks during tax season. Which is great in Missouri because it falls during the crappy time of the year and you can’t do much of anything anyway. But here in Texas March – April is great weather, so it is hard to want to come into the office on Saturdays.
If you only get two weeks – how did you manage to get the time to go over seas??

Well, two, plus two personal days, and now I think they’re giving 4, plus it was over Christmas. (And my boss is very kind!)

Just looking at the pictures makes me miss the kids. We sure did enjoy them. The zoo looks like fun.
