Camping by the beach – Memorial weekend
I have to post this picture because I think it turned out way cool!! Not because I did anything to it, it was just a fluke, but a fluke in my favor. Ha, Ha – take that ye gods of the cosmos.

Ok, that was a very cool picture with Marissa. You are definately a cool dad to take her out of that shark. Lucky you were standing by. I pulled out my yearbook, you don’t look quite the same, but I think I would still recognize you on the street.
unlike Deanne, I do like photoshop. I was getting pretty good with it, when our hard drive crashed. When Paul replaced the harddrive, he did not add Photoshop back to the computer because it was only a trial version or some such thing. I had to buy new software, so I got Photoimpact Pro. I like it a lot, and it does quite a few things that I can do and has a whole book of things I don’t do, but would love to do if I wasn’t quite so lazy.

It did turn out pretty cool!!! Nice job Christina!
Yep… Marissa got eaten by Jaws at Universal Studios. I had to pull her little body out
You would probably recognize me on the street. Outside of no longer being skinny… I pretty much look the same, and I still have all of my hair and its still not gray… Yay!!!

Triple yay for the hair! Are you still blonde? I haven’t colored my hair yet, and though it’s darkening, it’s still pretty blonde. Kinda fun. My husband, on the other hand, is pretty grey. But his dad went grey early, so he’s doomed.

Yep… still blonde just like my kids. Still very thick too. They take thinning shears and razors to parts of my hair so that it doesn’t “poof” when it dries. No receding hairline or anything… kinda lucky that way.
My daughter Marissa knows all about hair color. She’s naturally a blonde. So this is what we’ve done in the past.
Natural Blonde –> blonde with black underneath –> blonde –> White (and I mean WHITE!!) –> brown –> dark brown. That’s why you’ll notice pics of her earlier on flickr are blonde and now she has dark hair. Her hair is actually a little lighter than my oldest daughter.
I thought all girls color treated their hair after lets say… age 24? I don’t know too many girls that can actually tell me what their “true” hair color is.

Hey Christina,
That picture is really cool! Where were you guys? I have a cool one that turned out that way by accident too, funny how that works : ) (its on my Facebook page if you want to take a peak.)
My summer classes end tomorrow (none in July this year, yay!) am attempting to study instead of procrastinate, but its not really working. I’ll send you a real email soon, I’m sure you’re tired of only hearing from Sea.

One time I wanted to do lowlights, which I think is when they put darker color in. The person at the shop looked at me like I was crazy and proceeded to tell me that people pay big bucks to get my hair color, and that I shouldn’t change it. So I didn’t.
Here’s a cool one. My daughter has light colored birthmarks on her scalp, and the hair that comes out of them is light blonde. The rest is brown. She used to be a blonde, but the Latin genes are winning that fight.

Christina, is that Corpus? It reminds me of a Memorial Day weekend we spent at Corpus Christie with some friends. I attribute our liking of camping as a family to that weekend. The weather was perfect, the water was warm (but not hot), we camped right on the beach, and we took good food & wine. Oh, and we had hot showers to wash off every night before going to bed. Can you ask for more???
The kids had fun just like I see Brittney & Declan having fun. Hours of fun in the sand & surf.
Can we come down and visit and go to the beach with you guys?

We were at Mustang Island(which is part of Padre Island) just of Corpus. And if anyone wants to come down to the beach with us – we would love it! It’s fun camping on the coast, especially if there is a good breeze!
On another note – I am one of those people who does not know what their natural hair color is. But my hair is still amazingly thick (even after it all fell out twice!) So that will have to be my claim to fame in the hair department.
