Busy Busy Busy

THe weather here has been wonderful and we are all feeling like spring is upon us.  So, we have been spring cleaning.  We started with the office, getting the bed back in the closet and straightening up the desk.  Then we moved to the master bedroom closet and on to Declan’s room, then on to the laundry room/storage room.

The rooms look really good now, but the hallway is a reck.  All of the stuff that needs to go to good will is still sitting there causing traffic jams.  Hopefully I can get some help to move it to the pile that is accumulating in the garage this weekend.

We can’t decide if we should try a rummage sale, or just take it to charity and write it off.

We’ve had volleyball tournaments every other weekend for five weeks.  And on Sunday Brittney’s team made it to the final game.  They took home second place medals which are really nice.  We ended up being at the game until 8:30, so we missed all the comercials from the superbowl, but she did really well, so it was well worth it.

We finally took most of our Christmas stuff down on Saturday.  I was sick the weekend after we came back from Missouri, which would have been the opportune time to take everything down, but it didn’t happen.  Then we just started going through other rooms.  My mother in law said we should just leave the trees up and decorate them for Valentines day and St. Patricks day, but I want to put my 10,000 piece puzzle back up, so I need the room.  Maybe I will have a puzzle party and see if I can get the thing done!!  I found a 2000 piece puzzle I want to get that is the right size to frame and put on the wall at work!

First of all, GO Brittney! Is this the varsity team still and she’s getting lots of play time, or did you opt for play time on the JV team? It’s great fun to do well in a tournament!!

Second, congrats on getting cleaning! I hate to do it, but it’s amazing how good you feel when you get it done.

We did a garage sale with our Girl Scouts troop and made a cool $200 without much work, although you do have to have a space to do it, even better if you can leave it there for a while…

Finally, I want to come to your puzzle party!!!

Brittney is playing club ball right now, but the team she is on is made up of most of the girls from her highschool who the coach wants to put on varsity next year. We are very proud of her.

You are welcome to come to the puzzle party – my mom helped me last time I had the thing up, but it sorta drove her crazy.

What I love about puzzles is that I have a difficult time just sitting around talking. I don’t like lulls in conversation and I generally don’t like feeling as if there is something I should be doing. When there’s a lull in the conversation whilst puzzling, it’s okay. And everyone knows that putting together monstrous, 2000 piece puzzles together (that you’ll never be able to leave out after you finish them) is a very productive thing, perhaps more so than, say, cleaning the kitchen. So puzzles work for me. :)

I leave almost all of my puzzles out when they are finished. Most of them are framed on the wall, but two of them serve as table covers for Paul and my nightstands.

Actualy, that gives me an interesting idea. I have a table I want to recover the top on – I was going to do a mosaic on the top, but a puzzle covered with glass would be neat as well, hmmm…..

I’m so glad you made a post! Hooray!. Go Brittney. We are all so proud of you!
House cleaning is Ugh! Glad you are getting it done. That puzzle was a demon. I’m not sure you can actually put it together. You should have a puzzle party. Maybe that is what it takes. Love you Mom
