Fall Decorations

We have gotten the house ready for the fall months.  Here are some of our fun decorations:

my pumkins - no carving necessary

Here’s my pumpkins with some pumpkins

Guess which one is the real pumpkin

Brittney carved the pumpkin with the leaves.  She used some leaf cookie cutters we have and they turned out beautiful.  Mine is the spider.

Fun pumpkins

You did do a good job Brittney. Fall is such a happy time. The color orange just goes with it.

I love how you did the nice set-up in the first photo. Is that so that you don’t automatically dump all of the backpacks, mail, purses, and work bags on a big empty table in the entry? I got a shelf to take care of that, but I still have junk all over the couches!!

Arggghhhhh!!! (That was my pirate sound in honor of the pirate mummy costume!!)

  3. Chris Says:

Yes, that is my attempt to keep the actual “junk” from building up. The first drawer in the table has TWO organizers in it to keep all of those little things from getting all jumbled together. I should probably do some more organizing in there and show it off, yeah right!!

That was a wonderful pirate sound (at least in my head!)

Yeah, I guess if I would just pick up the phone, you could hear it for real. But it’s that whole phone issue. Take right now. I could just call right now. It’s 6:46 there–you guys are running around getting everyone dressed and fed and out the door. Here, I would be worried that I haven’t dried my hair yet. And you know how that is… you have to dry it by a certain point or it just won’t work.

I wonder what I could pile on my couches so that everyone (including myself, ahem) doesn’t pile stuff on it…

You could try putting some really silky material on them. Then whenever you put something down, it would just slide off. Of course, you might slide off yourself. Then they would just be “company” couches. We have those in the living room, that we are thinking about turning into a pool room. Someone sits in the living room about once a month. But it does look nice most of the time!!

  6. Deanne Says:

Hmmm. Silky material and something slanty, like a board… I think you’re on to something!
