Update on Paul
Some of you may or may not know that Paul was in the hospital last Friday. He woke up that morning with severe stomach cramps and we eventially went to the hospital about 4am. He was diagnosed with apendicitis and had his appendix removed at 5pm Friday evening.
He had an amazingly fast surgery, it was over by 5:30 pm and he only has three little cuts to show for it. They did the surgery liproscopically (I know it’s not spelled right, but I only spell by how it sounds it should be) and there were no complications. He came home Saturday afternoon and has been resting since then.So now I am waiting for the third thing to go wrong with him, so we can be done (you know things always happen in 3’s).
The rest of the weekend was chaos – I spent Friday sitting at the hospital with Paul. At 5pm when he went in for surgery I went and picked up Declan. Then back to the hospital to check on Paul after surgery. Brittney had a volleyball game that night at 6:15, so at 7:30 Declan and I left the hospital to pick her up. Then we went home.
Saturday morning Brittney had a volleyball tournament, so we took her back to school at 7am. Declan and I went home to watch cartoons and wash his soccer uniform. We left the house finally at 10am and went to the hospital to visit with Paul. We left there at noon to get to Declan’s 12:30 soccer game. When the game was over we went back to the hospital and sat around a bit waiting for Paul to be discharged. Finally got to take Paul home and stopped at the pharmacy to pick up his perscription.(If you are wondering, Brittney took the bus home rather than waiting for me to pick her up.) Spent the rest of the night watching Paul doze in the recliner.
Sunday, Declan had a birthday party at 10am that I took him to. Went home from there and picked up Paul.  Took Paul to BlockBuster to get an ungodly number of movies so he would not be bored sitting around the house. Took him home and took Brittney out to get some item she needed at the mall.Â
All in all it was a very busy weekend. I was almost glad to get to work Monday morning.Â
Oh – and to answer your question Deanne, his ankle was only sprained, but it is pretty bruised. (he’s still using the cane though)

Good grief! Did you keep the warranty papers on this guy? Hope you’re feeling better, Paul!

He’s way past warranty….I might have to trade him in if this keeps up.
