This is Shadow, Brittney’s Tomcat, sleeping with Declan.  Which, if you didn’t know the two of them, you wouldn’t think twice about.  But they have an ongoing fued.  Shadow had a habit of sleeping at the top of our staircase.  He would wait until you got  right up to him, then take a swipe at you with his paw.  For everyone except Declan this was not a problem, we just stepped over the stupid cat and he couldn’t touch us.  He swiped Declan so often, that when the poor boy went up the stairs, he would stop about three stairs from the top and yell for someone to come move the cat. 

This got old pretty quick, so we just started stepping on the cat’s tail whenever he laid at the top of the stairs, so he quit laying there.  Unfortunately, the cat and child are still at it.  If the cat gets close to Declan, he pulls it’s tail.

    Cute picture. I think I saw him come out of Declan’s room several times. I guess the feud doesn’t count if you are asleep.

    This is probably just a “time out”. And I use that phrase in it’s classic, sporting, sense, and not at all in the new “I don’t want to use a phrase that sounds like punishment when I punish my child” sense.
