Baby Tripod

For my birthday present to me, I found this new tri-pod for my camera.  (many of you may remember my old tri-pod from the many photos I made you pose for in front of it.  It had been shedding pieces over the last couple of years, and was too long to effectively hide from my family.)  So when I saw this 10″ tri-pod, I knew I had to have it.  It actually fits inside my current purse.  Then it expands – and oh baby, oh does it expand!  From 10″ to 44″ long in a jiffy.  See below for a fully expanded picture.

And the Lion shall lay down with the Lamb

This is Shadow, Brittney’s Tomcat, sleeping with Declan.  Which, if you didn’t know the two of them, you wouldn’t think twice about.  But they have an ongoing fued.  Shadow had a habit of sleeping at the top of our staircase.  He would wait until you got  right up to him, then take a swipe at you with his paw.  For everyone except Declan this was not a problem, we just stepped over the stupid cat and he couldn’t touch us.  He swiped Declan so often, that when the poor boy went up the stairs, he would stop about three stairs from the top and yell for someone to come move the cat.

This got old pretty quick, so we just started stepping on the cat’s tail whenever he laid at the top of the stairs, so he quit laying there.  Unfortunately, the cat and child are still at it.  If the cat gets close to Declan, he pulls it’s tail.

I hate shopping

Ok, I don’t hate shopping in general, but I do hate shopping for a swimsuit.  I think I tried on at least 30 of them before I found this one.  I think it is cute AND I don’t have to worry about bringing a towel and a wrap with me to the pool anymore.

Poke a dots are so cool!

Paul thinks it looks like a throw back to the 30ies, but I think it is cute!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Sat ,02/06/2007

As you all know Dad’s Birthday is May 24th and I am always on the lookout for something that I think he would like.  This is getting to be a much harder task as the man owns every tool in the world (typical Dad gift) and he is not really that fond of ties (compared to Lloyd Jr.’s collection).

So,for Dad’s Birthday this year we tried to get him a present that he would enjoy.  It took some thinking, but I was able to come up with two things that he likes 1) The Cardinals and 2) Eating (which is not usually a problem since Mom will cook for anyone at the drop of a hat)  But to combine these two items in a unique and pleasing arangement, we sent Dad (and Mom) to one of the Party Rooms for a Cardinal’s Game where they could watch the game and enjoy a buffet of food and drinks!  It was even pretty good seats (third level above first base)

Look at that cute couple!

Because the Cardinal’s were so excited about Dad’s Birthday, they arranged to have a home game right on May 24th, just for him!  (Dad said this was the first time he ever took off work on his birthday – it’s about time!)

You'd think they were expecting him!

And look – They even put up a sign in the room for him!! (Actually, Mom said there was another birthday party going on in the room, so it was a really merry group that they got to spend the evening with)  And to top it off, the Cardinal’s won! (probably because they knew what a special day it was)

Nice seats!

They had a blast!  They stayed downtown St. Louis that evening, and were able to ride the tram from the game back to the hotel.

Happy Birthday Dad!
