At the Forest

Accross the street from our subdivision is a YMCA park.  It has a play area and some soccer and baseball fields.  It also has a wooded section that has walking and biking trails.  Declan referrs to this as “The Forest”.  Most of the trees are live oaks which don’t grow to be terribly tall and are really twisty.  While my parents were down last week we spent some time at the forest.

who you looking at?

Declan going down the slide.

Grandma's going to go home with some muscles

Here’s one of Declan and Grandma doing the monkey bars.  She’s going to be one strong Grandma!

The Fort

While they were in the forest, Declan helped a couple of other little kids reconstruct a tee-pee type fort.  They had a good time building it.  Kinda reminded me of being a kid and building tree forts with the kids from Carol’s daycare.

who gave that woman the stick?

Grandma is apparently also very handy at building forts!

Declan certainly enjoyed his trips to the park!
