Well, my mother is officially ancient.  She now has two children over the age of 35.  How sad for her.  On the upside, she’s a grandma and those are the best children to have, or so I’ve been told.

    Happy Birthday! At least I’ll always be older. By the way, we were talking about functions in 7th grade math today, and the example I used was y=x-2 which, I’m sure you’ll recognize as the function for your age given my age. They were suprised to learn that I have a sister for some reason.

    Grandkids are the best. Just wish they were closer so I could really spoil them. Time just keeps marching on but I don’t get any older. I quit counting a long time ago. Happy Birthday!

    I was surprised you have a sister too! I only have brothers (hummmmm) And I would swear that Dad thought I was a boy until I wanted to go on a date at 16.

    Mom, your grandkids are only $200 + 4 hours from you (that’s a 3 hour drive to KC + an hour flight). Hop on a plane and come down. (you’d spend that shopping in a couple of hours anyway, besides Kansas City flights are at least 50% cheaper than the ones from St. Louis, so it’s really a GOOD bargain. And we all know you LOVE a bargain. (besides we’d love to see you.)
