10,000 Piece Puzzle

This is my really cool new puzzle I got for Christmas from my husband. It is a 10,000 piece puzzle, of which we have opened one of the four bags containing pieces. This probably doesn’t look like too many pieces from the picture but our new table is about the size of Grandma’s (for those of you not related to me, about 8 feet in length). So I am currently looking for some of those roll up puzzle mats so I can open the other three bags of pieces.  (For those of you who are related to me – my birthday is coming up – Hint, Hint!)
 Brittney has decided that puzzle time will be a very nice part of our evenings (for the next 5 years) where she can tell me about everything she is up to.  Tonight all we did was turn all of the pieces in one bag right side up and pull out any straight edges. Declan helped us for a little while, but he decided that this was a very boring game, and he would be happy to lose if he could stop playing.
 Apparently the makers of this puzzle really know their stuff, inside the box is a reorder form so you can order any piece you happen to lose while you are putting the puzzle together.  That would have come in handy on a few other puzzles I have done before!
